About Us
The Tryon Creek Watershed Council (TCWC) is a group of concerned citizens, nonprofit organizations, government representatives and other stakeholders working together to improve the health of Tryon Creek and its watershed. The Council has been actively bringing the community together since 1994 when a small group of concerned citizens joined forces to become stewards of our natural heritage. Today, the Council coordinates over 500 volunteers every year at more than 10 sites. We advocate for increased protection of our waterways and advise local and regional government planning, assessment, monitoring and preservation initiatives. Want to know more? Come to a meeting, volunteer or contact us! |
