Every year, hundreds of volunteers remove invasive weeds and replant stream banks with native trees and shrubs. Roll up your sleeves, pull English ivy, dig blackberry, and cut back European clematis. Plant trees to re-establish healthy riparian habitat. Keep Tryon Creek healthy and beautiful for fish, wildlife and people! We work on public and private property across the watershed. Who can volunteer: Everyone is welcome to volunteer. Work parties are an excellent choice for groups, people fulfilling community service obligations, and youth under age 18. Youth under age 14 must be accompanied by an adult. All work parties are drop-in, but groups of 6 or more must call ahead.

Come prepared: Work parties go forth rain or shine, so dress for the weather. Wear closed-toe shoes and long pants.
